My wife got a weird email. It was from "rocketmail", a form of yahoo email. This is my new question: If person A sends an email to person B, then person B forwards the email to person C, can person C lookup the IP address? If so, how much detail will the person be able to find? Can they find the exact location and street address of the email that person A sent? What other information can they get? Thanks for any responses.
It can only be traced to the persons internet provider. Any farther would require a court order by a judge.
EDIT: NO you do NOT need rocketmails permission! You will find the I.P. when you expand the emails header.
