Backup to Email

Posted by: admin  :  Category: search gmail

I constantly use my email account as an online storage, I would rather store my importnat files not only in my cd’s and hard disk – hard disk might fail, same story for CD, and you know its always much simpler to do a search with gmail for your improtant files than to start with “where did I put that CD?”. This is where the freeware software Backup To EMail comes into action, it will make the backups you do to your emails so simple you will never stop using it, and one day you will thank that program, one of these days you are going to loose some files and you will search for them, and with this software a quick search in gmail will make you find it.

The installation of the software is very simple (just next next next), Then just fill simple details (you can use any email address other than gmail ofcourse, yahoo which offers unlimited storage). And immediately start backing up.

Quickly create backups of your files/folders to your email account. This freeware, Backup To EMail, provides you with the ability to send files/folders directly to your email account. For GMail is most easy, you just enter your gmail details and then you can right click any file or folder and by choosing “Backup To Email” a progress bar will appear and you will be able to upload files directly to your gmail account. The pro version (only $9.95 for lifetime) allows you to schedule backups to your email account. That means you can choose a certain folder and a certain scheduling period (for example every day at 09:00pm) and this folder will be sent as a zip file to your email account. The free version is freely enabled for life and allows you the right click functionality, automatic retries in case of failures, the pro version adds to this scheduling, zip with password of files, split merge of files (in case they are too big as attachments). It’s able to send .exe files and files which are not usually accepted by emails, that means your files are always sent to your email. It presents a nice progress bar where you can see the progress of the backup.

How to Submit your Articles and Get Them Published

Posted by: admin  :  Category: lookup email address

I get a lot of questions from my subscribers asking how to submit articles to be published the Internet. If my subscribers are asking about it, I assume that many others also need this information. Following is a basic outline on how to submit articles and get them published on the Internet.

You do not need to be a famous author to write articles. Most authors are people just like you and me. Write in a simple, easy to understand tone. Write it as though you are talking to a friend. An informal article written in a conversational manner is best.

Start out by writing on subjects you are familiar with. After you gain some writing experience, you can begin to research and write about topics you are not familiar with. Try to keep the length of your articles between 300 and 500 words. For the proper format, see my article entitled, “How to Write Articles That Get Published”.

Once your article is written, proofread, and run through a spelling and grammar checker, you are ready to begin the submission process. Do a search on the Internet for “article directories”. You will find a large list or article submission sites available. Choose a number of them to submit your articles to.

Once you have selected the article directories, go to the sites individually. Once on the site, you need to register as an author. It is an easy process. They will ask for your name, address, and some other information. You will also need to select a user name and password. Your user name is the name that others will see if they look-up your articles. Some sites will also ask you to choose a “pen name”. This is a name that will be published along with your article. This is good if you don’t want to write under your real name.

After you have completed the registration process, you will probably be sent a conformation email to verify that it was actually you that registered. Click on the confirmation link and log onto the site using your user name and password. Once there, check on the site’s terms of service and editorial guidelines. Make sure that the articles you submit adhere to their policies; otherwise your articles will not be published.

After writing your article, log onto one of your submission sites and click on “submit article”. You will be presented with a number of boxes where you will enter the appropriate information.

Title: This is obvious; enter the title of your article.

Summary: Enter two or three short sentences that summarize your article.

Keywords (or Tags): These are the words that people will use to find your article. For example, if you article is about dog grooming, you might enter the following keywords (in a similar format):

dogs,dog grooming,dog care,brushing your dog,dog care, pet care

Each keyword can consist of one or more words. Separate each item with a comma. Notice that there are no space between the command the next keyword.

Body: This is where you will enter the body of your article.

You must write the article first, and then paste it into the proper box on the submission site. Do not write your article while you are on the submission site.

Resource Box (or Bio): Enter 2 or 3 lines about yourself or a product or website that you are promoting. In most cases, you can enter 2 links here to other websites.

Click on “submit article” and you are done. Some sites allow you to preview the article first and you can do this if you wish.

If would like to share your thoughts and knowledge with the Internet community, give it a try. Submit a few articles, and, who knows, you may even enjoy it. Good luck.

Is Your Website Blacklisted?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: email lookup

A blacklist, as the name implies, is a list of people or
companies who have met with the disapproval of others. In the
online world a blacklist refers to those people who have been
marked as responsible for generating spam in a very big way.
Blacklists are also known as blocklists.

Blacklists are used to combat spam in a very specific way. When
spam is reported to one of the relevant spam fighting
organizations the IP address the spam originated from is added
to a banned or blacklisted IP addresslist. An IP address is the
unique location of you or your website on the Internet – think
of it as your “home address” online. To put it simply every
www.domain.com Internet address has a matching IP address. Any
email coming from your website domain also has a corresponding
IP address. If your IP address is present on a blacklist then
you’re potentially wasting your time sending email to customers.

Why are you wasting your time? Modern spam blockers come with
the most common blacklists installed and/or allow you to import
updated blacklists into your spam blocker. This allows to you
block a huge amount of spam but you may also, potentially, block
legitimate email. Blacklists are not foolproof.

There are two types of IP address:

Dynamic – changes every time you connect to the Internet. Most
commonly used for dialup Internet access. Spammers love these
because they’re very hard to track and 100% disposable.

Fixed/Static – All websites, most large companies and some
individuals use fixed IP addresses. This can cause huge problems
if they’re reported for pamming.

When an IP address (dynamic or fixed ) is reported for sending
spam it’s added to a blacklist. There are three different types
of blacklists:

Temporary An IP address placed on a temporary blacklist will
have email coming from that IP address blocked for several
hours. After a few hours the offending IP address is removed
from the blacklist.

Permanent When an IP address is added to a permanent blacklist
any email server configured to block email from this list will
never receive email from that range of IP addresses again.

Comprehensive This is the most damaging of blacklists. Not only
does it block a single IP address it also blocks the IP
addresses next to it. For example if the IP address
192.156.66.67 was added to a comprehensive blacklist then all IP
addresses close to 192.156.66.67 will also be blocked. This can
be a huge problem for those website owners using virtual hosting
because if your host has ever appeared on a blacklist then
you’re also on the same blacklist, by default, because of the
shared hosting from the same IP range. It’s important for all
website owners to check whether or not they’re on a blacklist.
You’ll need your IP address (available from your webhost) and
you can check your blacklist status at:
www.mail-abuse.org/cgi-bin/lookup

Blacklists are a necessary evil due to the volume of spam being
sent each day but are not an exact science. Take a few moments
from your day and ensure that your website or email address is
not being blocked

delete gmail search history?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: search gmail

okay i was in my boss’s email, and i did a search in his gmail account and I am scared he will find out. How do I delete the search history from the gmail account. i did this on my own laptop.

You will want to do two things. First you’ll want to clear form history.

For firefox: Go to tools > Clear Private Data > Select Saved Form and Search History > Click Clear Private Data Now

For IE: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files

Alternatively you can install CCleaner and run it.
**PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT CLEAR THE COOKIES. THIS WILL LOG YOU OUT OF THE GMAIL ACCOUNT AND YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO DELETE THE HISTORY.

Next you want to go to http://www.google.com/history/?hl=en
and click "clear google web history"
